Farmhouse in San Marcello
immersed in one of the olive groves

In San Marcello, immersed in one of the olive groves owned by the farm where the oil mill company stands, is located this newborn creature, L’Olinda – The farmhouse.

The structure, arranged in a place of peace and tranquility, is easily reachable since it is 15 km from Ancona-Falconara Airport and is an excellent starting point for a tour of the Marche, among landscapes, architecture, food and wine: Senigallia is reachable in only 30 minutes by car, Portonovo in 45 minutes. To get to the beautiful and suggestive  Frasassi caves it takes about 40 minutes, in a wonderful path that sweeps through the rolling hills, the sea and the mountains.

From the external staircase, a typical architectural element of the Marche farmhouse, on clear days, you can enjoy an incredible view of the sea, in a skyline of hills where small villages rise that deserve to be visited.

A terrace on the first floor, which can be used by all guests of the structure, allows instead to see a mountainous landscape in which the protagonist is Monte San Vicino, which is about an hour away by car.

An unspoiled place
where you have everything

The farmhouse consists of 5 rooms, accessible by lift or external staircase. Each is equipped with private bathroom, satellite TV, safe and free internet accessible from all areas of the structure, including the external ones. The rooms have been designed for flexible use, with double beds that can be divided giving the possibility to become two single beds.

Attention to detail that makes the difference

The choice of the name of the rooms is not random: it was inspired by some olive cultivars of the Marche tradition, present in the company's olive groves.

Tastings and wellness

The Raggia, the Mignola, the Rosciola, the Carboncella and the Coroncina can be discovered by walking in the fields surrounding the farm during the tastings that the company organizes to let you discover and appreciate the oil, its production, its many and various uses.

The living room is double-height and is a suggestive space: a minimal iron staircase gives access to a small mezzanine overlooking the mountains and the sea. A comfortable sofa bed extends the availability of beds if necessary. The versatility of the structure offers, for groups or large families, the possibility of limiting the use of this living area to two of the bedrooms located on the first floor ("Coroncina" room and "Carboncella" room), creating a mini apartment with the possibility of 8 beds plus a futon on the mezzanine.

On the ground floor the structure consists of a large room, where tastings of the oil, which the company produces, take place. It is therefore the starting and ending point of a tour that crosses the olive grove, arrives at the mill where the olives are processed up to the bottling of the finished product and leads back to the room for tasting the different oils. Experience that deserves to be lived!

The farm that owns this very young structure is very careful for the environment and nature and works from a plastic free perspective. Even the courtesy line, the result of scrupulous research, is made up of aluminum bottles and cardboard boxes, all absolutely recyclable.

Each of the five rooms that make up the farmhouse is unique in the choice of colors and details, albeit united by simple and clean shapes, essential but at the same time refined furnishings, the result of a restyling of old furniture which still had a lot to tell.

Even the bathrooms, with which each room is equipped, represent a unique environment in the choice of colors and shapes, although they are all linked by the same common denominator: the green of the three-dimensional tiles that fits perfectly with what, looking out from any window, is found in every plant of the company olive grove.

The colors in the rooms are light, from the white wooden ceilings to the cream-colored resin floors, to the bed and bathroom linens. However, we did not want to give up a touch of color, concentrating it in the headboards: each is characterized by a shade extrapolated from the decoration of the wallpaper above.
